On August 14th we finally set off again, with our first destination being Musket Cove, a spot just two hours’ sail from Port Denarau, ideal for a first test of the newly installed rudder.

Musket Cove is located on the island of Malolo Lailai and belongs to the Mamanuca archipelago, west of Viti Levu. It’s a very popular destination among sailors because it offers an extremely wide bay for anchoring and a number of resorts ashore where you can dine in excellent restaurants, relax on the numerous beaches, or unwind at the spa in the marina. There’s also a mini-market where you can stock up on fruit and vegetables before sailing on to the Yasawa archipelago, which is exactly what we did after five days of total relaxation.
